Administrator accounts may also use multi-factor authentication. Encrypted authentication secrets, encrypted backup codes, and multi-factor authentication status may be stored for security purposes.

Payments for Housebreak Hero are processed by Stripe.

When you make a purchase, Stripe may collect information such as:

• Your email address
• Billing information
• Payment-card or other payment-method information
• Transaction amount and currency
• Device, browser, and network information
• Information used to detect fraud, misuse, or unauthorized transactions

Housebreak Hero does not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code.

Housebreak Hero may receive and retain limited payment records from Stripe, including:

• Stripe customer identifiers
• Stripe Checkout Session identifiers — used to confirm purchases, connect payments with program access, prevent duplicate fulfillment, respond to payment questions, and maintain accurate transaction records
• Payment Intent or transaction identifiers
• Payment amount
• Currency
• Payment status
• Purchase date and time
• Refund, dispute, or chargeback status

Payments are intended to be one-time, non-recurring payments. Housebreak Hero does not automatically enroll customers in a subscription or recurring billing program.

Stripe Link is not enabled for the Housebreak Hero checkout at launch, and Housebreak Hero does not independently save payment methods for future purchases.

D. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit or use the website or portal, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

Internet Protocol addresses may be processed transiently for website delivery, security, and contact-form rate limiting. They are not currently stored in the Housebreak Hero customer database.

A. GoDaddy and Airo

GoDaddy and Airo provide website-building, hosting, deployment, email-delivery, infrastructure, analytics, and customer-support tools. Information processed through the website may pass through or be stored within GoDaddy or Airo systems as necessary to provide these services.

B. Stripe

Stripe processes payments and related transaction information. Stripe may also process device, network, behavioral, and payment information to prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, and financial loss.

C. Cloudflare

5. Authentication and Account Security

Housebreak Hero uses BetterAuth, a self-hosted authentication software library, to manage customer and administrator authentication. BetterAuth operates within the Housebreak Hero server environment and does not independently receive customer information as an external hosted service.

Passwords are stored as secure one-way hashes.

Account-setup and password-reset tokens are stored only in hashed form, are time-limited, and are intended to be single-use.

Session cookies are protected using security controls such as HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite settings where applicable.

Administrator access requires password authentication and multi-factor authentication.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Although we use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the program, maintaining account access, satisfying legal obligations, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and enforcing agreements.

Our intended retention practices include:

• Customer accounts and program progress may remain active during the customer's access period and may continue to be retained until the customer requests deletion or anonymization.
• Purchase, payment, tax, and financial records may be retained for up to seven years or for another period required by applicable law or recommended by our accountant or legal adviser.
• Administrative audit records may be retained for up to seven years.
• Customer-support correspondence may be retained for up to three years after the most recent communication.
• Active login sessions expire according to the authentication system's configured session period.
• Expired sessions and expired password tokens may be removed after short security and troubleshooting grace periods.
• Information may remain temporarily in infrastructure backups until those backups are overwritten under the service provider's normal backup schedule.
• Limited records may be retained after an account-deletion request when required for tax, financial, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.

When appropriate, we may anonymize information rather than deleting an entire database record. Anonymized information is no longer associated with the customer's name or email address.
